Console?
I am going to be taking a custom PC and compressing it into a small case, with linux on it, with 4 usb ports in the front, and have start up code to allow games to be immediately loaded from the disc drive, so basically it will be a custom pc, with limited use, I'll make about a dozen of them and try to get a system link thing going on, and put them up on teh interwebs for people to make games for it. maybe start a community following, nothing serious, just something for people to do in their free time... Any chipsets you guys recommend? Graphics cards?

But besides that sounds like it'll be an awesome project!
As far as processors go I'm kinda partial to intel, but I was raised an intel man so I'm probably a little bias. And now that I think about it I'm kinda the same way with nvidia graphics cards...

Actually the thing is, I don't have any money, but my dad has 20 computers of all types in the garage, where he built a massive super computer, that he really couldn't care less, about, so most of my money will be scrounged up to buy any parts I don't already have.
